This class explores virtually all genres of music beginning with Gregorian Chant and moving through the Renaissance, early Baroque, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern orchestral music, looking at folk music emerging in Scotland and Ireland, Hebrew music both Sephardic and Middle Eastern, Flamenco, and examining the emergence of Rag Time, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Rock, Pop, Country and even Rap in the United States.
